Symptoms
During the create local copy phase of an Oracle service plan the following error may be seen:Create local copy AppSync was unable to quiesce the Oracle database: <Database Name >. Ensure that it is not quiesced already and that it is open in read-write mode.

Cause
Container databases with one or more pluggable databases are being used.
Resolution
With regards to Oracle 12C new features, AppSync will not support Oracle Multi-tenant and Pluggable databases (PDB). Please see page 173 of the AppSync 3.5 User and Administration Guide. The User guide is available on the Product page for AppSync on EMC Online Support.
