Symptoms

Under installasjonen av vertsbasert Unisphere opprettes en postgres-bruker og -gruppe, og denne feilmeldingen vises:

Unisphere for VMAX Configuration Error. Installation will be aborted.

SMAS Database timeout cannot be started.

 

# service smas start

Cause

Sjekk om postgres-brukeren er med /etc/passwd Viser /sbin/nologin

Eksempel:

 

/etc/passwd:postgres:x:504:504::/home/postgres:/sbin/nologin
/etc/group:postgres:x:504:

 

Resolution

Slik løser du dette problemet:

  1. Endre ikonet /etc/passwd Slik at Postgres-brukeren har et gyldig skall. Eksempel: /bin/bash
  2. Avinstaller og installer Unisphere for VMAX på nytt.
