Symptoms
The controller and switches can ping each other IPv6 link local address. However, the process still does not fully complete. This can occur when the IPv6 packet crosses between switches such as the topology below. 
Cause
The MLD snooping will not forward the ipv6 ND packets across the port-channel between switches.
Resolution
To resolve this issue the following commands globally on both switches:
OS10(config)# no ip igmp snooping enable
OS10(config)# no ipv6 mld snooping enable
Dell EMC OS10 has IGMP snooping and IPv6 MLD snooping enabled by default. This can result in the IPv6 discovery frames from Switchlight to the controller to be intercepted between switches.
