Install the Dell Download Manager on your computer by following these steps so that you can download drivers and firmware updates faster and more efficiently.
Step 1: Choose your files and download options
To start the Download Manager installation process
- Choose the files you would like to download from the Drivers & Downloads page (you may need to click View a different product to access the driver for your device).
- Choose the download option that best fits your needs:
- Click Download File to download an individual file.
- Click Add to My Download List to build a list of files to download.
Note: When choosing files for download, you can either click Analyze System for Updates to get a list of recommended system updates or select individual files from the categories listed below.
Step 2: Select your download method
- Download File
- Select Use Download Manager and click Continue.
Note: Single-file download will download the file through your web browser and not the Download Manager.
- Add to My Download List
- Click Go To My List to see your download list or Download This List to advance to the next step.
- Go To My List
- Click Download This List from the My Download Lists page.
Step 3: Accept the Dell Download Manager End-User License Agreement
- Click Yes, I Agree to accept the terms of the Dell Download Manager End-User License Agreement.
Note: To install the Download Manager, you must accept the End-User License Agreement.
Step 4: Install the Download Manager
- Click Install to install the Download Manager and the Akamai NetSession Interface.
- If you’re prompted to run or save the file, click Run.
- If you see a security warning message about Akamai NetSession Interface, click Run.
Note: The Download Manager uses the Akamai NetSession Interface application to improve the speed, reliability and efficiency of downloads. When you install the Dell Download Manager, you must also install the Akamai NetSession Interface.
- Click Continue once the Akamai NetSession Interface installation is complete.
- You should now see the Download Manager, and your files should begin downloading.
