Symptoms

  • Sie versuchen, ein VM-Saveset wiederherzustellen, das sich nicht auf der Festplatte (Data Domain) befindet. Das Saveset befindet sich auf Band.
  • vProxy kann nicht direkt von Band wiederhergestellt werden. Das Saveset muss auf einem Laufwerksgerät (Data Domain) reaktiviert (geklont) werden.
  • Der Wiederherstellungsassistent versucht, das Saveset automatisch von Band auf einem Laufwerksgerät (Data Domain) zu reaktivieren (klonen), um die Wiederherstellung durchzuführen.
  • Der Wiederherstellungsprozess schlägt fehl mit:

Cause

Der Befehl „clone“, der durch einen Wiederherstellungsprozess ausgeführt wird, weiß nicht, welcher Host als Zielspeicher-Node für das Klon-Volume verwendet werden soll.

Resolution

1. Öffnen Sie über die NetWorker Management Console (NMC) die Storage-Node-Eigenschaften des Quell-Storage-Nodes. Auf den Storage-Node kann über die Registerkarte „Devices -> Storage Nodes“ zugegriffen werden.
2. Fügen Sie den FQDN „Destination Storage Node“, auf dem das Festplattengerät eingehängt ist, unter „Configuration -> Clone Storage Nodes“ hinzu.

3. Kehren Sie zu NMC zurück und initiieren Sie eine neue Wiederherstellung, bei der das Saveset vom Band auf dem Data-Domain-Gerät wiederhergestellt (geklont) wird. Sobald der Wiederherstellungsprozess abgeschlossen ist, wird die Wiederherstellung initiiert.
