Symptoms

  • Eine Microsoft SQL-VM ist für Backups mithilfe der NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) vProxy-Appliance konfiguriert.
  • Die Backupaktion für die VM wird mit App-Konsistenz konfiguriert, sodass MSVMAPPAGENT-Backups durchgeführt werden.
  • Während des ersten Backups des SQL-Servers schlägt das Backup fehl. C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\MSVMAPPAGENT\logs\msvmcatsnap.log der VM zeigt, dass die Datenbanken nicht lokal auf dem Server sind:

  • SQL-Backups, die mit NetWorker Module for Microsoft (NMM) durchgeführt werden, schlagen mit ähnlichen Fehlern fehl.

Cause

Der SQL-Server stimmt nicht mit dem Namen des Client-Node überein. Dies führt dazu, dass NetWorker diese Datenbanken als "nicht lokal" anerkennt und das Backup nicht abgeschlossen wird.

Dies kann auch aufgrund eines Schreibfehlers beim Hostnamen oder Client-Node-Namen auftreten.

Resolution

Der SQL-Datenbankadministrator muss eine Untersuchung durchführen. Überprüfen Sie sorgfältig den Hostnamen und die SQL-Konfiguration des SQL-Servers. 
Der Hostname des Systems und die SQL Server-Instanz müssen übereinstimmen:
