Symptoms

  • Una VM Microsoft SQL viene configurata per il backup utilizzando l'appliance vProxy NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP).
  • L'azione di backup per la macchina virtuale è configurata con coerenza delle app in modo che vengano eseguiti i backup MSVMAPPAGENT.
  • Durante il backup iniziale di SQL Server, il backup non riesce. C:\Program Files\DPSAPPS\MSVMAPPAGENT\logs\msvmcatsnap.log della macchina virtuale mostra che i database non sono locali sul server:

Dove nome host: Nome host della VM
Dove InstanceName: Nome dell'istanza del database SQL
  • I backup SQL eseguiti utilizzando NetWorker Module for Microsoft (NMM) hanno esito negativo con errori simili.

Cause

SQL Server presenta una mancata corrispondenza tra il nome host e il nome del nodo client. In questo modo, NetWorker visualizzerà questi database come "non locali" e ne impedisce il completamento.

Ciò può essere dovuto anche a un errore di ortografia del nome host o del nome del nodo client.

Resolution

L'amministratore del database SQL deve eseguire l'analisi. Esaminare attentamente il nome host e la configurazione SQL del server SQL. 
Il nome host dei sistemi e l'istanza di SQL Server devono corrispondere:

SSMS e prompt dei comandi con nomi corrispondenti
