Instructions
Async replicated LUNs and Consistency Groups (CG) were failed over to the Replication destination.
Changes were made to the failed over block resources on the destination.
The goal is to failback the replicated LUNs to the original source array and to discard any changes made on the destination array after the failover.
Step 1: Delete the replication session.
Step 2: Set replDest value to "NO" on source array.
Use the below command to change it to "No":

The goal is to failback the replicated LUNs to the original source array and to discard any changes made on the destination array after the failover.
When replicating NAS and file systems, Unisphere provides two options to handle changes made on the destination array:
-
Keep local data changes by updating the remote resource: This option preserves the changes made on the destination site by replicating them back to the original source.
-
Keep remote data by discarding all the local changes: This option discards any changes made on the destination site after the failover by replicating in the original direction and overwriting any changed data.
Block resources, LUNs and CGs, do NOT have this option.
Alternatively, the same requirement can be fulfilled using the below steps.Step 1: Delete the replication session.
Step 2: Set replDest value to "NO" on source array.
Use the below command to change it to "No":
uemcli -u admin -securePassword /stor/prov/luns/lun -name <lun name> show uemcli -u admin -securePassword /stor/prov/luns/lun -id <Id found from the above command> set -replDest no
Step 3: After verifying access and data on the source array, re-create the replication session in the original direction. Choose a common base snapshot to avoid transferring all the data.
