Symptoms

Wanneer een WUHD-beeldscherm (Ultra High Definition) (bijvoorbeeld de Dell U4025QW) is aangesloten op de HDMI- of USB Type-C-poort van een dockingstation met een AMD-processor, is de vernieuwingssnelheid van het beeldscherm beperkt tot 60 Hz. Het beeldscherm kan niet worden vernieuwd bij 120 Hz.

Cause

AMD heeft de beperking van de schijfgrootte van de videodriver bevestigd. De Display Stream Compression (DSC)-verhouding voor AMD is 2,8:1, wat lager is dan Intel of NVIDIA met 3:1.

Resolution

Sluit het beeldscherm rechtstreeks aan op de computer voor een vernieuwingsfrequentie van 120 Hz.
