A customer may call in and report they cannot import Windows 11 driver packs using the Dell Command | Integration Suite for System Center application.

They report the "Not a Dell Command | system driver library" error is on-screen.

Not a Dell Command on-screen error

Cause

This issue is attributed to a problem with the Dell Update Package Framework used with the driver pack. The package framework had an issue with decompressing the driver pack.

This issue has now been fixed for the affected products Windows 11 driver packs.

Resolution

Manually downloading the latest Windows 11 driver pack for the computer resolves the issue. To download and install the latest Windows 11 driver pack, follow the steps mentioned below:

Note: The user must have administrator rights on the faulty computer to make any operating system changes or update any software.
  1. Browse to https://www.dell.com/support/drivers
  2. Identify their Dell computer.
    1. Click Download and Install SupportAssist to auto-detect the Dell computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Dell SupportAssist. For more information, see the Dell knowledge base article: Dell SupportAssist (formerly Dell System Detect): Overview and Common Questions
    2. Enter the Service Tag of the computer and click Search.
    3. Or click Browse all products and select the Dell computer from the catalog.
  3. Select the Windows 11 Operating System that is installed on the Dell computer.
  4. Under Category, select System Management.
  5. Select the latest Dell Command Deploy Driver Pack or Dell Command Deploy WinPE Driver Pack.
