207984:nsrazure_recover: Creating VM 'RESOURCE-GROUP-NAME:VM-NAME-TESTRESTORE' failed.

Cause

During the Azure VM restore, an Azure Virtual Network (VNET) and Subnet are specified.

The Azure Subnet specified during the restore does not have any free IP addresses to be used on the recovered VM.
No available IPs in Azure Subnet

Resolution

There are two options:

  • If the VNET and subnet specified must be used, the Azure Administrator must add or free up IP addresses in the Azure subnet.
  • The NetWorker backup administrator can specify a different Azure subnet within the same VNET that has available IP addresses. Alternatively, if the VNET only contains one subnet, identify a VNET and subnet in the target Azure resource group that has available IPs.
