Symptômes

Fel som rapporteras när en traditionell pool skapas med två olika enhetstyper från Dell EMC Unitys grafiska användargränssnitt med OE-kod 5.2 visas nedan:
"Fel antal enheter angavs för den angivna RAID-konfigurationen eller antalet enheter matchade inte standard-RAID-konfigurationen för enheterna i enhetsgruppen. Fel: Code (0x6700171)"


Vid försök att skapa poolen med olika disktyper förväntas följande fel:

uemcli -d  -u Local/admin -p  /stor/config/pool create -name  -diskGroup dg_26 -drivesNumber 45 -storProfile tprofile_2 -type traditional

uemcli -d  -u admin -securepassword /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show -storProfile tprofile_1, tprofile_19 -type traditional

Please input your selection (The default selection is [1]): Operation failed. Error code: 0x1000401
The object was not found with "Pool0". (Error Code:0x1000401)

 

Cause

Traditionell skapande av pool från det grafiska användargränssnittet kan inte uppnås från Dell EMC Unity OE-kod 5.2.0. Detsamma kan endast konfigureras via CLI-metoden med uemcli.
 

Résolution

Som ett första steg bör traditionell pool med endast flashenhet eller högsta tillgängliga nivå (enhetstyp) konfigureras. När poolen har skapats kan den expanderas ytterligare från Unisphere med antingen SAS- eller NL SAS-disken.

Steg för att konfigurera traditionell pool via CLI:

  1. uemcli /stor/config/dg show >>Shows de diskgrupper som är tillgängliga i systemet 
  2. uemcli /stor/config/profile -traditional -configurable show >> Visar tillgängliga profiler i systemet
  3. uemcli -d -u Local/admin -p /stor/config/pool create -name -diskGroup -drivesNumber < drive_number > -storProfile tprofile_x -type traditional
