Symptômes

After upgrading an Avamar server from 19.4 to 19.7, the Proxy Deployment Manager (PDM) may fail with the following message:

Error while fetching tasks. Failed with HTTP error code:404 additional information" HTTP Status 404 – Not Found.

Cause

This is a software issue.

Résolution

  1. Log in to the Avamar Utility Node operating system as the root user.
  2. Change the permission of preferences.dtd: 
    chmod 444 /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_data/prefs/preferences.dtd
  3. Restart the tomcat service: 
    tomcatctl stop
tomcatctl start
