Der PowerProtect Data Manager wird verwendet, um die Linux-Server mit dem Dateisystem-Agent (Anwendungs-Agent) zu schützen. Die Registrierung des Anwendungs-Agent mit dem vollständig qualifizierten Domainnamen (FQDN) oder der IP schlägt mit der Meldung "preferred address is invalid" fehl.

Die Namensauflösung zwischen dem Anwendungs-Agent und PowerProtect Data Manager funktioniert ordnungsgemäß. Die Seite PowerProtect Data Manager-Anwendungs-Agents zeigt eine Registrierung mit der IP-Adresse des Anwendungs-Agent und localhost.localdomain an.

Die Anwendungs-Agents /etc/hosts Die Datei enthält einen 127.0.0.1-Loopback-Eintrag für localhost.localdomain. Die localhost.localdomain führtdazu, dass die Konfiguration des Anwendungsagenten während der Registrierung den falschen Namen verwendet.
