How to retrieve the NetWorker authentication service's keystore password in case it is forgotten.

NetWorker Authentication (AUTHC) Server:

The keystore password is stored in the following file:

Linux: /nsr/authc/conf/authc-server-app.properties

Windows (Default):  C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nsr\authc-server\tomcat\conf\authc-server-app.properties

NetWorker Web User Interface (NWUI) Server:

The keystore password is stored in the following file:

Linux: /nsr/nwui/monitoring/app/conf/authc-server-app.properties
Windows (Default): C:\Program Files\EMC NetWorker\nwui\monitoring\app\conf\authc-server-app.properties 

How To Decrypt:

In this example, the keystore password is UGFzc3dvcmQx .

Paste the encoded password in https://www.base64decode.org/ This hyperlink is taking you to a website outside of Dell Technologies. then click "Decode." The decoded password is returned. In this example, the base64 decoded password is Password1.
