Symptoms

Produktionsprüfpunkte der virtuellen Maschine können nicht durchgeführt werden. Folgender Fehler tritt auf:

"Production checkpoints cannot be created for...".

Backups schlagen fehl. Folgender Fehler tritt auf:

Protokolle melden, dass der VSS-Dienst nicht ausgeführt wird:

VMWare Servers can show "Get-VMIntegrationService -VMName "XXXX" shows lost comm for VSS".

Cause

Regelmäßige Windows Server-Updates und Dateibeschädigungen im Zusammenhang mit Betriebssystemdateien führen am häufigsten zum Ausfall des Volume-Schattenkopie-Dienstes.   

Resolution

Anweisungen:
Im Folgenden finden Sie ein Skript, das entwickelt wurde, um eine Datei für den VSS-Service (Volume Shadow Copy) zurückzusetzen.
1. Kopieren Sie alles, vom unteren oberen Rand bis zum oberen unteren Zeilenrand, in eine Editor-Datei.
2. Speichern Sie die Datei mit dem Namen "RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT" und in einem administrativen Befehlsfenster ausführen.
 

rem Rename FILENAME to RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT
rem Run script in Administrator command window
