Symptoms

Impossible d’exécuter les points de contrôle de production de la machine virtuelle. L’erreur est la suivante :

"Production checkpoints cannot be created for...".

Les sauvegardes échouent. L’erreur est la suivante :

 "Production checkpoints cannot be created for..."


Les journaux signalent que le service VSS n’est pas en cours d’exécution :

VMWare Servers can show "Get-VMIntegrationService -VMName "XXXX" shows lost comm for VSS".

Cause

Les mises à jour périodiques de Windows Server et la corruption des fichiers impliquant des fichiers du système d’exploitation contribuent le plus souvent à l’échec du service de cliché instantané des volumes.   

Resolution

Instructions :
Vous trouverez ci-dessous un script conçu pour effectuer une réinitialisation de fichier pour le service
Volume Shadow Copy (VSS).1. Copiez tout ce qui se trouve au-dessous de la bordure supérieure vers la bordure supérieure de la ligne inférieure dans un fichier de bloc-notes.
2. Enregistrez le fichier avec le nom «RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT» et s’exécutent dans une fenêtre de commande d’administration.
 

rem Rename FILENAME to RESET_VSS_SCRIPT.BAT
rem Run script in Administrator command window
