NetWorker: Software Administration Wizard Limitations

Software Administration Wizard is for remote NetWorker installation. 

You cannot use the Software Administration Wizard to push NetWorker software to clients under the following conditions:

• Cannot do a fresh install of the NetWorker software on a client machine.  NetWorker must already be installed on the client machine.
• Cannot upgrade clustered clients. This is automatically prevented.
• Cannot upgrade clients with Power Snap packages installed. This is automatically prevented.
• Cannot upgrade hosts with NetWorker Server, License Manager, or NetWorker Console packages installed (automatically prevented).
• Cannot upgrade the NetWorker software on clients on which a module is installed unless both the NetWorker and module software are upgraded simultaneously on AIX.  Modules can be upgraded independently.
• Cannot upgrade the NetWorker software if the NetWorker software is not installed on the same drive for the Windows operating system.
• Cannot install language packages as part of the upgrade process. English is installed by default.

The nsrpush -L command fails if the software distribution repository is not created.

The nsrpush -L command is used to list products in the client push repository.
If the repository has not yet been created, the following error message is displayed:
The repository location is not set.

Workaround: Use the NetWorker Console interface to create the repository.
