Симптомы

PUHC is failing on a PowerStore X with the below error message: 
Could not delete /tmp/puhc in ESX. Error code 255 Output "". Please call Support. (tmp_delete_failed_esx)

Причина

PUHC is failing while checking for VMs in Local Datastore on ESXi host because SSH is disabled.

If SSH is disabled on the ESXi hosts on the PowerStore X this PUHC check will fail.

Разрешение

Enable SSH and start it on both ESXi hosts on the PowerStore X.  Rerun PUHC and it should complete successfully.

Verify that SSH is enabled and started using the following procedure:
Connect to vCenter > ESXi > ESXi Configuration.
Select Services > SSH.
Ensure that the SSH service is set up as follows:
SSH service is started.
SSH service is configured as "Start and Stop with host" to ensure that the service is started upon ESXi reboot.

If PUHC continues to fail after verifying SSH is enabled and running, please contact Dell Technical Support for assistance and reference this knowledge article.
