How to Identify Service tag


 

  1. Connect to the switch with a serial console via the serial console port.

  2. Turn OFF then turn ON the switch power to restart.

  3. After the restart completed, press ESC key within 5 seconds once the message "Press ESC to stop autoboot..." displayed on the terminal software.

  • Select ONIE from the Grub menu and press Enter key.

  • Select Rescue from the ONIE menu and press Enter key.

     

    If the NOS is installed, ensure the Rescue is selected since OS does not boot if ""Install OS" is selected.

  • Run the command: onie-syseeprom on the ONIE prompt.
    The Service Tag is displayed in the "Service Tag" line.
