Avamar Server /data01 partitie vol raakt als gevolg van grote bestanden onder mc/server_tmp en /usr/local/avamar/var/client

Dit probleem kan leiden tot abnormaal gebruik van bestandssysteemruimte van het besturingssysteem op een Avamar utility-knooppunt of systeem met één knooppunt.

De partitie /data01 wordt gevuld als gevolg van veel grote, oude bestanden die nog onder de directory's /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp en /usr/local/avamar/var/client staan.  

Bijvoorbeeld:
De onderstaande uitvoer laat zien dat de map /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp 2700 .tgz-bestanden bevat>, elk een grootte van 66 MB en dateert van maart 2015 tot mei 2012.

Deze logbestanden zijn niet onderhevig aan bewaar- of rotatiepolicy's. Vanwege hun grote grootte kunnen ze veel ruimte in de /data01-partitie gebruiken. Naarmate /data01 de capaciteit nadert, wordt Avamar uiteindelijk onbruikbaar.

Bestaande logboekrotatiepolicy's houden geen rekening met de inhoud van /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp of /usr/local/avamar/var/client/.

Oplossing:
Werk met support om overtollige logboekbestanden te verwijderen en het systeem weer in productie te nemen.

Resolutie:
Upgrade naar Avamar v7.3 waar dit gedrag is opgelost.
