Procedure

  1. Disconnect the chassis-fan cable, power cable, drive-power cable, optical-drive data cable, and hard-drive data cable from the system board. For more information, see “ System-board components”.
  2. Note the routing and move the cables away from the system board.

  3. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the chassis.
  4. Lift the system board at an angle and remove it from the computer.
