Removing the Base Cover

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Perform the following steps:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the base cover.
    2. Pry the base cover towards the front of the computer and remove it from the computer.
