Removing the power switch

  1. Follow the procedure in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove the:
    1. cover

    2. front bezel

    3. hard drive assembly

    4. optical drive

    5. power supply unit

  3. To remove the power switch:
    1. Disconnect the power switch cable from the system board [1].
    2. Press the power switch retention tabs and remove it from the chassis [2] [3].
