Clear Remote Replication Fault

Description

This command clears a remote replication "sticky" fault from one or more remote replication groups and one or more remote replication group member virtual disks.

A remote replication group and its member virtual disks can encounter remote replication "sticky" faults, which occur at a single point-in-time but do not impact the functionality of the replications. These type of faults must be reviewed, but do not require any changes to the configuration.

A remote replication group and its member virtual disks can have more than one associated “sticky” fault. This command clears all of the faults associated with the remote replication group and its member virtual disk. However, if a remote replication group has a fault and one of its member virtual disks has a fault, clearing the fault on the remote replication group does not clear the fault on its member virtual disk.

Syntax

clear asyncRemoteReplicationFault(all | asyncRemoteReplicationGroup ["

                                 asyncRemoteReplicationGroupName"] |
                                 asyncRemoteReplicationGroups ["
                                 asyncRemoteReplicationGroupName1" ... "
                                 asyncRemoteReplicationGroupNameN"] |
                                 virtualDisk ["
                                 virtualDiskName"] | virtualDisks ["
                                 virtualDiskName1" ... "
                                 virtualDiskNameN"])

Parameters

Parameter Description
all Use this parameter if you want to clear all remote replication faults from all remote replication groups and on all remote replication group member virtual disks.
asyncRemoteReplicationGroup The name of the remote replication group from which you want to clear the remote replication fault. Enclose the remote replication group name in square brackets ([ ]). If the remote replication group name has special characters, you also must enclose the remote replication group name in double quotation marks (" ").
asyncRemoteReplicationGroups The names of several remote replication groups from which you want to clear the remote replication fault. Enter the names of the remote replication groups using these rules:
  • Enclose all of the names in square brackets ([ ]).
  • Enclose each of the names in double quotation marks (" ").
  • Separate each of the names with a space.
virtualDisk The name of the specific member virtual disk (in a remote replication group) from which you want to clear the remote replication fault. Enclose the member virtual disk name in square brackets ([ ]). If the virtual disk name has special characters, you also must enclose the virtual disk name in double quotation marks (" ") inside square brackets. If the virtual disk name consists only of numbers, such as "1002," you also must enclose the virtual disk name in double quotation marks (" ") inside square brackets.
virtualDisks The names of several member virtual disks (in a remote replication group) from which you want to clear the remote replication fault. Enter the names of the member virtual disks using these rules:
  • Enclose all of the names in square brackets ([ ]).
  • Enclose each of the names in double quotation marks (" ").
  • Separate each of the names with a space.
