Removing keyboard

1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Remove the:
   1. microSD card
   2. base cover
   3. battery
3. To remove the keyboard:
   1. Release the latch and, disconnect the keyboard cable from the connector on the system board [1].
   2. Use a plastic scribe to release the keyboard from the two release holes in the system [2].
      NOTE The two release holes for the keyboard are indicated by the "KB" labeling.

      
   3. Turn the system and carefully pull the keyboard cable through the gap in the palm rest.
   4. Lift the keyboard away from the system.
