Removing the primary M.2 Solid-state drive

NOTE For computers shipped with M.2 2280 or 2230 SSD installed in slot 3, slot 4, and/or slot 5.

Remove the (M2x3) screw that secures the SSD thermal plate to the M.2 SSD module.
Carefully tilt at an angle and then slide to remove the SSD thermal plate from the slots on the inner frame.
For M.2 2280 SSD:
1. Remove the (M2x3) screw that secures the M.2 SSD to the computer.
2. Remove the M.2 SSD.
For M.2 2230 SSD:
1. Remove the (M2x3) screw that secures the SSD module.
2. Remove the SSD module from the computer.
3. Remove the (M2x2) screw that secures the SSD to SSD holder.
4. Remove the SSD from the holder.
Repeat the above steps to remove the other SSD modules in the computer.
