Preface

As part of an effort to improve product lines, periodic revisions of software and hardware are released. Product naming

PowerProtect DD is now PowerProtect Data Domain or just Data Domain. References to DD or DD systems in this guide, in the user interface, and elsewhere in the product include PowerProtect Data Domain systems, Data Domain systems, and older DD systems. The following are related Data Domain product names and the shortened versions used in this guide:

PowerProtect Data Domain Boost—DD Boost.
PowerProtect Data Domain Management Center—DDMC.
PowerProtect Data Domain Operating System—DDOS.
PowerProtect Data Domain System Manager—DDSM.
PowerProtect Data Domain Virtual Edition—DDVE.

Isilon is now PowerScale. References to Isilon, Isilon products, or Isilon appliances in this guide, in the user interface, and elsewhere in the product include PowerScale products and appliances.

In many cases the user interface has not yet been updated to reflect these changes.
