Introduction

This document provides a high-level technical overview of PowerFlex. It describes the key PowerFlex features and the management capabilities of the PowerFlex management platform. This document also contains information regarding the different PowerFlex offerings.

The target audience for this document includes customers, presales, and Dell Technologies Support.

Integrated PowerFlex management (non-KVM) was previously known as co-resident. Customer-provided infrastructure for PowerFlex management (Linux/KVM) was previously known as bring your own Linux. References in the documentation will be updated over time.

This Dell Technologies product uses an embedded Linux distribution that is licensed to Dell. This embedded Linux is only authorized to be used to operate the Dell product and only the Dell product.

SupportAssist is now known as Dell Technologies connectivity services. References in the documentation will be updated over time.
