Removing the Hard Drive

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer .
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. SD card
    3. access panel
  3. Remove the screws that secure the hard drive to the computer.

  4. Slide the hard drive to release it from its connector. Lift the tab to remove the hard drive from the computer.

  5. Remove the screws that secure the hard-drive bracket. Lift the latch to remove the hard-drive bracket from the hard drive.
