Procedure

  1. Open the latch and disconnect the hard-drive cable from the system board.
  2. Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the system board.
  3. Peel the I/O-board cable from the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
  4. Remove the two screws (M2x4) that secure the I/O board to the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
  5. Lift the I/O board, along with the cable, off the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
