Removing the Display Hinges

Steps

  1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside your computer.
  2. Remove:
    1. battery
    2. display-hinge cap
    3. base cover
    4. base-corner cover
    5. display assembly
    6. display bezel
    7. display panel
  3. Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
    1. Remove the screws that secure the display hinges to the display assembly.
    2. Remove the display hinges from the computer.
