Domain IDs uniquely identify a switch in a Virtual Storage Area Network (VSAN). A switch may have different domain IDs in different VSANs. The domain ID is part of the overall Fibre Channel (FC) ID.
The configured domain ID can be preferred or static. By default, the configured domain ID is 0 (zero) and the configured type is preferred. Domain IDs can range from 1 to 239.
The 0 (zero) value can be configured only if you use the preferred option.

Here are the steps to configure the tx-/rx-datarate policy on an MDS switch.
These steps are not disruptive.
They do not affect the production traffic; they only change when the switch records information.
After this there will be a new active policy that has the same two counters as the previous slowdrain policy with the additional tx-/rx-datarate counter.
Any ports that go to 80% Tx or Rx utilization for 10 seconds will get an alert.
Note: This is a common request TAC makes when customers are concerned about performance in a fabric.
