Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue
Remove the screws that secure the cover to the system
Slide the cover toward the back of the system and lift the cover to remove from the system
Press and hold the power button for ten seconds to ground the system board.
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel highlighted in blue
Lift and release the tabs to disengage the bezel from the system
Slightly lift front of the system and separate bezel from system
Hard Drive Assembly
Drive Cage
Identify the drive cage highlighted in blue
Remove the screw that secures the drive cage to the system.
Press the blue tab and slide the drive cage outward to release it from the system.
Disconnect the power and the data cables from the optical drive
Lift the drive cage with optical drive assembly from the system
Memory Modules
Identify the memory modules highlighted in blue
Push the retention tabs on both sides of the memory module
Hold the edges and lift the memory module up from connector on the system board
Install
Memory Modules
Identify the memory module location highlighted in blue
Ensure the retention tabs are open and insert the memory module into the memory module socket
Press the memory module until the memory module retention tabs click into place
Drive Cage
Identify the drive cage location highlighted in blue
Place the drive cage with optical drive assembly in the system
Connect the data and power cables to the optical drive
Slide the drive cage inwards until it clicks into place
Install the screw to secure the drive cage to the system
Hard Drive Assembly
Front Bezel
Identify the front bezel location highlighted in blue
Position the bezel to align the tab holders on the system and push the bezel until the tabs click into place
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue
Place the cover on the system and slide the cover until it clicks into place
Install the screws to secure the cover to the system
