Removal
Base Cover
Identify the base cover highlighted in blue.
Loosen the captive screws that secure the base cover.
Using a plastic scribe, pry the base cover from the top-right corner
Lift the base cover away from the computer.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable highlighted in blue.
Use the pull tab to disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board.
Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to ground the system and remove residual static electricity.
Power Adapter port
Identify the power adapter port (DC-in) highlighted in blue.
Remove the screws from the right hinge.
Lift to open the right hinge.
Lift the tape and disconnect the power adapter port cable from the system.
Remove the screw that secures the power adapter port.
Remove the power adapter port from the system.
Install
Power Adapter port
Identify the power adapter (DC-in) port location highlighted in blue.
Install the power adapter port into the slot on the system.
Install the screw to secure the power adapter port.
Connect the power adapter port cable to the system board and adhere the tape.
Close the right hinge and align the screw holes.
Install the screws to secure the right hinge.
Battery Cable
Identify the battery cable location highlighted in blue.
Connect the battery cable to the connector on the system board.
Base Cover
Identify the base cover location highlighted in blue.
Align and place the base cover on the computer, press the edges and sides of the base cover until it snaps into place.
Tighten the screws to secure the base cover to the computer.
