How to replace the Speaker on a Optiplex Micro Plus 7020

This 3D experience gives you the step by step process of replacing the Speaker and a Optiplex Micro Plus 7020. The procedure will also include removing the Side Cover and reinstalling them.

Removal

Side Cover

Identify the side cover highlighted in blue.

Loosen the thumb screw that secures the side cover to the chassis.

Slide and lift the side cover off the chassis.

Speaker

Identify the speaker highlighted in blue.

Disconnect the speaker cable from the system board.

Remove the speaker cable from the routing guides on the chassis.

Press on the tab that secures the speaker and lift the speaker off the system board.

Install

Speaker

Identify the speaker location highlighted in blue.

Press and hold on the tab on the speaker and place the speaker on the system board.

Route the speaker cable through the routing guides on the chassis.

Connect the speaker cable to the system board.

Side Cover

Identify the side cover location highlighted in blue.

Slide the side cover into place towards the front of the computer.

Tighten the thumb screw that secure the side cover to the chassis.
