Table 1. Front panel features and indicators — 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drive chassisItem 1 are the USB connectors that allow you to connect a keyboard and mouse to the system. Item 2 is the LCD panel that provides system information and status and error messages to indicate when the system is operating correctly or when the system needs attention. Item 3 are the LCD menu scroll buttons that move the cursor in one-step increments. Item 4 is the Selection ("check") button that selects and saves an item on the LCD screen and moves to the next screen. Item 5 is the enclosure power-on indicator, power button that glows when the enclosure power is on. The power button controls the power supply output to the system. Item 6 are the Hard drives that allows you to install up to twenty five 2.5-inch hot-swappable hard drives in 2.5-inch hard drive enclosure and u to twelve 3.5-inch hot-swappable hard drives in 3.5-inch hard drive enclosure. Item 7 is the information tag, a slide-out label panel that allows you to record system information such as Service Tag, NIC, and MAC address, the system electrical rating, and Worldwide Regulatory Agency marks. Item 8 is the optical drive that has one optional SATA DVD-ROM drive or DVD+/-RW drive. Item 9 are the vents for the temperature sensor. Note that for proper cooling, ensure that the vents are not blocked. Item 10 is the video connector that allows you to connect a monitor to the system. Item 11 are the server modules that allows you to install up to four half-height server modules, or up to two full-height server modules specifically configured for the enclosure.
