ESXi 6.5 with dell-shared-perc8 driver fails to clone VMs simultaneously on a shared datastore
- Description:
- Due to open critical issues around dell-shared-perc8 driver (v06.806.89.00), Dell EMC has revoked VMware ESXi 6.5 support on Dell EMC PowerEdge VRTX. Some of the use cases which fail on VRTX are clone, snapshots and so on. The failure occurs when there are storage intensive I/O operations involving Shared PERC8 VMFS datastore. During the failure, vmkernel log file reports:
