Procedure

  1. Lift the latch and disconnect the touch-pad cable from the system board.

  2. Peel off the touch-pad cable from the keyboard and palm-rest assembly.
  3. Remove the screws that secure the touch pad to the palm-rest assembly.
  4. Lift the touch pad from the inner edge and remove it from the palm-rest assembly.
