Procedure

  1. Remove the screws that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest assembly.
  2. Peel off the tape that secures the display cable to the I/O board.
  3. Disconnect the media-card reader cable from the I/O board.
  4. Lift the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the I/O board.

  5. Starting from the outer edge, slide the I/O board from under the fan and remove it from the palm-rest assembly.
