well you should probably test pc using a very simple low power video card to confirm it boots. if yes then consider replacing dead gpu.

cod modern warfare basic recommended gpu is gtx970 or 1660, which are without ray tracing.  970 can be had for 100-120. 980 is better and can be had for 150-200.  ?1660 price may be exorbitant now d/t mining.

the next three higher levels of cod mw are recommended (with ray tracing), high/competitive, ultra; each requiring faster more expensive gpu.  You might be able to get a 1080 for 250-300.  That will place you in high/competitive.

I bought an EVGA GeForce 210 to see if it had actually died (I don't have any other graphics cards), but I don't have the right power connector for it (my bad for not checking).

======================

Huh ?

You can run any-small PCIe video-card in the Area51-R2. Pretty sure all PCIe video-cards will fit in a x16-slot.

I only bring it up as it sounds like you are still confused, and if so ... you are not going to get very far on this little project.

"I bought an EVGA GeForce 210 to see if it had actually died (I don't have any other graphics cards), but I don't have the right power connector for it (my bad for not checking)."

What type of additional hookup do you need for a EVGA 210?  Going off of EVGA's photo, it looks like you just plug it into the PCIe slot, it gets all the power it needs from the slot.  There's only two connectors that I can see on the PCB.  One is if you want to hookup a VGA monitor, the other is for the fan.

Thanks for the response!  I'll look into those, although based on other replies, I might have bigger issues than the GPU.

Thanks for the response!  I presumed two prongs to the right of the blue/white capacitor (between the capacitor and cooling fan) was a power input.  I tried the 210 without power and it did not work.  If it doesn't need extra power, then perhaps I have a bigger problem than the GPU.

Thanks for the reply.  I tried the 210 but it did not work.  I presumed that the 210 needed a power supply (there is a two prong connection on the the board between the capacitor and the fan).  If it doesn't need a power supply, then perhaps I have a bigger problem than my GPU.

Cheaper test card thats not Junk is

Change CMOS Battery and Run Built in Self Test for power suppply.

Most grocery stores have them because blood sugar testers use the same battery

Yeah, that one is for the fan, the connector should already be there.

everything up to 1080ti is fine

If you want to use 2X 1080 TI you need to upgrade power supply to 1500W

1050TI would be a good test card.

A more universal Test Card is

Thanks for the reply!  I tried the 210 again (new card that I thought needed a power cable but apparently doesn't) changed the CMOS and reset the BIOS, nothing.  I guess it might be something more severe. I get the lights on the front on and all the fans running (including the old GPU fan when I try that) but stuck in what I presume is a no POST issue.  At one time I had the 6 beeps which prompted me to change out the GPU, but now no beeps.

Thanks for the reply!  I tried changing out the CMOS battery, reset my bios using the jumper pin and tried the 210 again (given it should draw power from the card slot) and no luck.  I'll keep fiddling, but it may be time for a new computer.

New power supply is worth a shot. GT1030 is not a bad investment either way.

The 210 is very old and not really compatible.

GT1030 works fine in machines as old as XPS 400 from 2006 and fine in new systems made today.

Definitely easy to find power supply etc.  If this were my system I would look for another exact working unit and start by testing good power supply in the dead unit.  Removing all cards and disconnecting all drives tturning on it should beep.

I consider all of these models MUCH better than the current Aurora series.

And with 1500W power supply its a no brainer.

Maybe try any other x16 slots.

Be sure to turn-off/unplug and dissipate flea power ... before each swap.

Good to know, i will investigate.  Not sure, but I stated with Windows 8, so I/m guessing I have a windows 8 key.  Not sure how I can change to unsecure boot without getting into BIOS though (I can't get a screen to display!).   Apparently wasted some money on the 210 (I thought most cards were backward compatible, but apparent I am not skilled in the computer arts!)  Thanks again.

If its windows 8 then you MUST TURN Secure Boot OFF and CSM on for ANY non dell card.

https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3156

When an after-market graphics card is installed into a motherboard with UEFI enabled in the system BIOS, or if the system is a certified Windows 8 PC with Secure Boot enabled, the system may not boot.

The GT210 has further issues because its PCI-E 2.0 not 2.1 or 3.0.

This is a known issue for many years now.
