I use MATLAB, and the i7- 8700k only have 6 cores.
When I run 3-4 matlab programs, the CPU's usage reach about 70%. But I run 5-6 matlabs, the CPU's usage are only 50%. And I google it, find that the hyper-threading will cost many CPU.
I can easily find the opinion to forbid the hyper-threading in other computers with i7-8700k, except the Aurora R7.

Well, if it's not there any longer (and you really want to do it) I suppose you will have to discover a new way.
For me, Google says this:
https://bitsum.com/tips-and-tweaks/why-you-should-not-disable-hyper-threading-or-why-you-should/
and

I have to ask ... Why?
That will likely slow-down your CPU. No one wants that, do they?

I used the software process lasso, and I solved the problem.
Thank you very much!
