Aurora R8, I am really upset

Question

I began having a problem with my Aurora R8 main power switch being intermittent the end of October. I had previously had home support, and the 'tech' they sent out was totally clueless, and ALL he had to do was change my upper fan and he had NO idea how to do it. He finally got his own phone support and he finally got it changed, he left the screw out of the block that holds the side on and he left me a screwdriver. So, in my current problem, I requested the same tech NOT be dispatched on this current problem. Well, Nov 8th, I got a message saying that my part was in and being shipped to the tech. My power switch was getting more erratic, so I went online to Dell to find out the status, and I found that the ONLY thing I could see was an open SR. So I called in and phone support was totally clueless as to the status of my computer. They looked for an open ticket and said I had none. I gave them the number of the open SR, and then I asked what did the ticket say was the problem with my computer, and he had no clue. Just got off the phone with a 'supervisor' and my only option is they will send me a 'refurbished' R8 and I will have to pay for the transfer software so I can move all my data and then send it back. I asked, why not just take a power switch from a refurbished computer and install that, his answer? 'that is NOT possible'.

If this is an R8 with a power switch that behaves improperly, take a look at this thread and try the temporary solution: R8 will not power on    It might save you all the trouble.

I did, no help, I have since decided to change my power setup to deep sleep and live with it, this will be my LAST Dell product and I intend to let people know about the very, very lousy dell support

just got 2 PM's from dell and they think I have a laptop....and they want me to take a picture of a written piece of paper with the call number on it below my system tag....

Dell still refuses to take a working on/off button from a 'refurbished' but want to send me an entire refurbished computer and making me transfer all my data myself, should I simply swap my drives or even simply swap switches when it arrives?
