It happened to me again. I really dont know whats going on. Now I officially think its a hardware issue. Not the wires itself but the card. Its a turn off for a technician replacing my new Aurora since I just got it 10 days ago. I may just return it because who knows when this will happen again.
When did you guys get your computers? Is it new as as well?
@XLB I just spoke to customer support via Dell Community and he advised me to reseat the card and so I did. Ill post the procedure that he told me to do so that maybe will help you fix as well:
I also noticed that the plastic cover holding the card in place in my computer is not as tight and may be loose during the building of the computer. After reseating the card, I made sure to screw the plastic firmly.
For now, what I learned is unplugging the power cord making the MOBO reset and being in good state picks up the wireless card after rebooting but the Bluetooth goes away after awhile which is a bandaid solution. Hopefully, reseating the card will fix it permanently. This in fact is a hardware issue.
Dell Tech Support were nice enough to send a technician in my house but with the current environment we leave in right now I wouldnt be comfortable.
Worse case scenario is just buy the Qualcomm card and replace it or buy a bluetooth adapter to remedy the solution. Both are under $20 and considering how much I saved in buying the computer, I may just go this route if the problem persists.
Well it happened again. Bluetooth does not work. Ill try to reach to Dell customer support what they can do at this point. Wish me luck. Can someone help?
this is happening to me too.. usually if i unplug the power cable from the pc and put it back and restart my pc my bluetooth reappears. if that doesn't work, i have to take the card out and put it back in and my bluetooth works. is the wifi/bluetooth card faulty or is it the motherboard?
The Dell Customer support and I were still figuring it out. We started with the wireless card first and I reseated it and it worked for awhile but now it happened again it doesnt work. I also suspect the MOBO but if it is shouldnt the other components fail to work as well?
@MC8515 My bluetooth still keeps disappearing. I ordered the Killer Wifi/bluetooth AX1650 Module to replace the Qualcomm in my pc. Hopefully that will fix the problem for good.
@speedstep Hi there speedstep! thanks for the info and it was an interesting read. Theres really no solution mentioned with that security notice. What do I do now?
@henchfries Ordered meaning you bought it with your own money? Is your warranty over? Do you just plug it and the computer will pick the drivers right away?
Keep in mind that making this change is like saying you will leave the door to your house open unlocked when there is a mass murderer running loose in the area and you are ok taking the risk.
Windows Security Update:
Determines if the Bluetooth controller supports the HCI_Read_Encryption_Key_Size command.
Issues a HCI_Read_Encryption_Key_Size command and tests whether the connection to a Bluetooth device supports the minimum encryption key size.
Failure on either test can prevent Bluetooth connections. Windows devices with incompatible Bluetooth controllers or Bluetooth devices may have to temporarily or permanently set EnableMinimumEncryptionKeySize value to 0 until controllers, firmware or drivers can be updated or the device itself updated.
To Disable this enforcement feature by using Registry Editor, follow these steps:
Note Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk. For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys and Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or view the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe.
Before deploying this mitigation in your environment, we recommended you first test any known devices (see issues below) and that you warn users of potential issues with untested Bluetooth devices. If you encounter issues, you will need to check for updated firmware or drivers for your devices or contact the manufacturer of your device.
Issues you may encounter may include:
Bluetooth devices may fail to pair or connect to your Windows Device.
The Bluetooth radio in your Windows device may stop responding.
You may receive an Event 48 in System event log:

The local adapter does not support reading the encryption key size for a connected device. Insecure devices may be able to connect to this system.
You may receive an Event 49 in System event log:

Windows rejected a connection from your Bluetooth device (%2) because the resulting encryption key size was smaller than the system required minimum.
Enable key length enforcement using Registry Editor
Important Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system.
Select Start, select Run, type Regedit in the Open dialog box, and then select OK.
Locate and select the following registry subkey: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Policies\Hardware\Bluetooth
On the Edit menu, select Modify to modify the EnableMinimumEncryptionKeySize registry entry.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then select OK. This sets the "EnableMinimumEncryptionKeySize"=dword value to 00000001
Exit Registry Editor.
Restart the Windows device.
If you do not want to restart your Windows device, you can reset your Bluetooth device instead:
On the device, go to the Bluetooth Settings.
Turn off Bluetooth.
Open Device Manager and locate the Bluetooth Controller.
Right-click or long press on the Bluetooth Controller and select Disable device.
After the device is disabled, right-click again and select Enable device.
@speedstepThanks for the instructions. Ill reinstall AWCC and Realtek as well. But is it really necessary to reinstall all bluetooth related devices? I am not even sure if my problem is Malware related. Im confused, why do I need to reinstall AWCC? I just got my computer 1 month ago. I assume Dell installed the latest drivers and if not, Dell Support Assist will detect it and let me know which I havent got any message.
In the case of bluetooth and KNOB attack they require a registry hack to bypass security or an updated OEM bluetooth driver.
This part I am not sure what it means. I need to bypass security and hack my own security? updated bluetooth driver is also installed and every time I check if the driver is updated windows says it is.

I purchased mine last november around black friday and it took dell a whole month to ship it. So yeah mine's pretty new.
And it happened to me again. Third time. I don't know what to say. Let's see if they could send me a wireless/bluetooth new card this time..

@Eyepile
I do wonder if Dell would be nice enough to send another card or a bluetooth adapter if the problem still persist.
Let me know if Dell sends you one because I have a feeling I have to the same and ask for one.

The issue is that Bluetooth drivers are being disabled by microsoft.
KNOB attacks make driver reinstalls required after every feature update.

Go to control panel and UNINSTALL AWCC anything.
Then Go to the DELL OEM links I provided and install the AWCC controls and AWCC version 5.X and restart.
Then check to see if windows update wants to change anything.
Realtek Audio may also need reinstalling as may anything bluetooth.
Malware Writers have figured out how to compromize ATI, NVIDIA, INTEL, AWCC, Realtek, Bluetooth drivers.
Microsofts response is to DISABLE the drivers and require the user to Re enable drivers by reinstalling after removing.
In the case of bluetooth and KNOB attack they require a registry hack to bypass security or an updated OEM bluetooth driver.
