Aurora R8, power button WORKING, but no post.

Aurora R8 sounds like it's powering up, lights turn on, but won't post or display on monitor.  Keyboard doesn't light up.

Has been like this for a few months, been a bit nice for the kids to be off the games.

Reset CMOS, pulled system battery and discharged power, removed and re-installed video card, pulled  and re-inserted RAM.

I'm honestly at a loss of what to do... saw that there were power issues with a recent bios update, but not sure that this is the same issue and keyboard won't work.

When you say power issues during the BIOS update do you mean the system lost power or was shut off during the update?  If so then it is entirely possible the BIOS is corrupt. Have a look at this Dell support page for information that may help.

Just curious though, when you pulled the battery did you leave it out for at least 15 minutes. Also it may not be a bad idea to replace the battery. I doubt it is bad but best to cover all the possible causes.

I believe this occured after a bios update.

Performed recommended updates and then it didn’t work after reboot. Left it on for a day or two afterwards, but then it’s been the same ever since. I just pulled the battery for 15 and inserted a brand new one. Still the same issue.
habe tried flashing the bios, but keyboard doesn’t seem to work when pressing ctrl + esc keys.
