Aurora R8, will the RTX 3060 TI or RTX 3070 fit at some point?

Hello all, I was looking to upgrade my GPU from a GTX 1660 TI to a RTX 3070 or 3060 TI but I ran into a issue regarding them being able to fit in the case itself.

According to the solution of this post, (https://rb.gy/hyqdiy) it seems as if the max length for a graphics card would be 11" and the width would have to be lower than 4.25". (Thanks @zakaweb and @r72019)

Both the RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 TI have a width greater than the 4.25" needed to close the case but meet the length requirement.

Is it possible that different manufacturers could make a RTX 3070 or RTX 3060 TI that would be able to fit in the Aurora R8 specifically?

I would rather upgrade to one of those cards rather than purchase a 20XX series card but I'm willing to do it if the option won't be available in the future.

Thanks for the help!

Our community member Mb-07 has an Asus Dual-Fan 3070 (p/n: DUAL-RTX3070-8G) installed in his Aurora R9. The graphics card has a width of 5.31" (13.5 cm), and he didn't even have to cut out the triangular steel support on the swing arm. @calebzz    the width would have to be lower than 4.25"

The width can be wider than 4.25". This beauty is 5.38" wide and only required minor surgery to install

@Matrecito   I know it’s not gonna fit without moving the fan this helps a lot ! The noctua fan is the intake correct ?

The Noctua fan is intake . . . but at 305mm . . . no fan for you! You will be fortunate to squeeze it into the chassis. Consider moving the lower front intake fan to upper front intake. Also, if you are not using the SSD cages, remove those and lay a couple fans on the floor over the vent holes . . . blowing up.

Hi, eight months later, did you manage to fit your ventus 3x into your chassis? I have a 3070 ti ventus 3x on the way and wonder if it could fit in my r10 with the front fan detached.

I just installed the EVGA 3070 in my Alienware Aurora R8. I removed the RTX2070 Super. I had to remove the Dell front fan and remove the triangle aluminum piece on the power supply mount. Everything fits fine now.
