Aurora R9, ROG Strix RTX 3090
I just realized that the ROG Strix RTX 3090 that is arriving on Monday won’t fit in the case. I made this mistake due to Aurora R11 sold with the OEM RTX 3090. Now I know from other topics that those are OEM custom made cards. What options do I have? External gpu? Heavily modding case? Please help. 6 months of waiting for nothing. I’m quite depressed.

Indeed, it is possible to get the Aurora lineups much quieter, but requires replacing the Nidec OEM fans and then tweaking the fan control settings.
What are your idle temperatures on GPU/CPU?
I am at GPU 25° and CPU 28°.

Yeah for sure.
I guess you can improve the curve of the GPU fan to cool better, generally you have a lot of headroom of silent fans. Mine start being heard at 1800RPM and I run them at 1300RP at under 30°, 1600RPM for under 40°. I used X1 Precision as it is an EVGA card which has an aggressive fan setting.
Next up set NVIDIA to Balanced Power, your card will run at 210Mhz and speed up when necessary. My GPU went from 35° to 25° idle with no performance loss.

what do you think max temp on cpu should be while gaming?
l noticed that it’s quite easy to go up on temperatures in cpu when 4k 120fps on forza and others.
and it’s also easy to go up on cpu temp whule using winrar
maybe i should the aio pump go maximum, it doesn’t add so much noise if maxed, i mean it’s quieter than a ps5... and the ps5 is really a quiet console..

6 mins !!! Sounds like my work laptop it's awful
Glad you got that sorted, excellent temperatures.
Next up boost the fans on the Rog Strix software.
Here is my X1 Precision (EVGA) for reference.
Default settings:
Aggressive (my current setting)
It is still very quiet under reasonable load like with COD BOCW (1440p 120Hz 65°)

Clock speeds up to max (no OC) and temperatures up to 31/33°
Although HWinfo is very extensive on sensors, I find it rather complicated to configure, I use OpenHardwareMonitor for simple monitoring.

I have posted twice, to help you with CPU temps for gaming, the first time the post was missing and I thought it was a mistake on my part so I reposted, now I am pretty sure the post has gone down a black hole
@lorenzo78 Can you "Stress CPU" from CPU-Z and give the CPU temperature? I get around 56°

Same story here, I waited for the card for 6 month to realize that it didn't fit in the Alienware that I bought less than 1 year ago.
However, I have been able to make it work by relocating the fan that was in front of the the OEM card and bending the metal on the back of the computer where the DP ports are located. A nicer job would have been to saw off the metal but I do not have the tools.
It is ugly, I can't close the computer and the warranty is probably now voided. But at least I can run the card and had no issues so far. Beats buying a new computer.

That's a very tight fit indeed.

As an added bonus you now have plenty of ventilation so system temps should be more reasonable.
