GPU Part Numbers for new Alienware desktop

Hi,  I recently ordered an R10 - delivery set to early June (though I've heard reports they usually come earlier).  In addition to gaming, I plan to do some light crypto mining (if that's even a thing come June).  Does anyone have the scoop on item/part numbers?  The 3060 ti in my rig is item 490-BGIL  My son is now interested in getting an R12 and the quote shows 490-BGKQ for the 3060 ti.  I did stumble upon a third # but don't recall.  Does anyone know what these numbers represent specification/submodel-wise?  I'm wondering if one of them is the new hash limiting version (not an issue for my son but possibly for me).  Thank you,

JB

The sales SKU and sales part numbers are fluid. 86RMK first appeared on January 18, 2021.

Before I confuse everyone, they are the SAME card.

The 7 digit sales SKU number and 5 digit sales part number CHANGE based on the PC model. The 5 digit component part number does not change.

Sales SKU 490-BGIL = Sales part 9W21T = Component part 86RMK MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 8GB, 1.67GHz (Aurora R10/R11/R12, XPS 8940, Inspiron G5 5000)

Sales SKU 490-BGKQ = Sales part 1X78N = Component part 86RMK MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, 8GB, 1.67GHz (Aurora R10/R11/R12, XPS 8940, Inspiron G5 5000)

Thanks Chris.  Are those part numbers new (2021) or been the same for a while?

Allegedly hash-limited cards will be clearly marked as such so purchasers can make an informed decision.  Being a factory-built system, I highly doubt customers will know what they are getting - thus my attempt to understand the part numbers.  My Dell support/sales inquiries were met with communication issues unfortunately

Ah yes, I see what you are saying.

You are right, it will be marked on the box if they are limited or not.

Since these are OEM and have no box, I think it will be difficult to know unless you try it.

Chances are the bios is the original pre hash limit version, since DELL does not often update Vbios.

They might also not be a good idea for crypto mining as they might be modified to perform below specs when trying to mine with them.

It would depend on the bios version if they are "crypto locked" or not.

Very good choice, I own an R10 myself. I have a 3700X, not sure what processor you ended up going with.

I am happy with my choice, even if it has a few negative aspects to it. Overall it's still a good performing machine and I got such a huge discount on it that I can likely just sell the video card and get most if not all of my initial purchasing price back.

Thanks - fingers crossed.  I'm excited about this unit.  Looks good and should run cool (went with water-cooled)

They started the the 5600X.  You are so right on the GPU-insane prices.

I got mine with an RTX 3080, and that value went up significantly in the last 6 months.

Since it's not crypto locked it will only go up more.

It's the only reason why I purchased this machine, because I got a very large discount on it and it came with an RTX 3080.
