I was very tempted to go for the 10700 instead but decided to go i9 and I upgraded the wireless as it was so cheap and basically cancelled out when I removed the mouse.
I know the i7 and i9 aren’t massively different speed wise from the benchmarks I’ve seen but if I do video editing or something non gaming maybe the extra cores will help a bit
liquid cooling was a no brainer. They shouldn’t even sell a non liquid cooled version
only thing I was a little wary of was the hard drive but it’s virtually free to add it on, I thought I could remove it but I could use it as a data drive and hopefully it isn’t that much impact to the case temps
However, I'm not in a hurry. My understanding is that when this crisis is over, Aurora spare parts will be much easier to find: be it buying directly from Dell or a used one from Ebay.
Any signs of delivery today. By the way what monitor you hooking your system upto, am tempted to purchase the new Alienware 25 Gaming Monitor – AW2521H.

all good so far but all I’ve done is installed windows (and spent the time locking down the telemetry and removing the bloat) and moved my backup files around. It takes a while for me to get things just how I like them
Yeah I totally hear you in this! I cancelled my order a couple times cause its such an expensive purchase and I wanted it to be perfect! I ended up ordering the Ryzen edition in Lunar Light, but only the Intel version comes with the extra front rgb! Suuuper bummed. I really wanted that honey comb rgb on the front and the chassis is the same exact name for the Ryzen edition. Hopefully its an easy install and its retrofitted for the extra RGB. The Ryzen Lunar Light r10 does have the side rbg however thankfully. But man that front honeycomb looks so nice!
I'm in the same situation, want to cancel my dark side and get lunar for the honeycomb. But I'm also Ryzen (no intel stock). So if I get this right, no point as won't get honey comb?! Just as I thoguht that pandemic couldn't hv got worse!
Alienware R11 owner. Strange that it is not clear when selecting the chassis that the Dark Side of the Moon has such an inferior lighting capability. Still, I find it looks more elegant than the mixed color chassis.

I have Dark Moon chassis and I would light to add some more LED light zones as well. My previous post: Aurora R11 (black case), questions regarding adding the 3rd LED light zone (halo around the Tron light)?
