Try reseating the ram sticks in a different configuration and disabling xmp profiles.

You can also run the hardware test f12 on startup including the long ram test.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I ran the long RAM test, and there is not issue with that.

Still not able to locate the source of the noise. Good thing is I tried to switch to option 1 another time in XMP, and it is now working as 3200M frequency.

I'd be curious to know if there is a difference in fan speeds. Put the OEM RAM back in, open AWCC > Fusion & look at your thermal profile. Record the readings, put the new RAM in & repeat. Compare the 2 and see if the fans are running higher.

With the retail hyperx fury the first xmp profile has faster frequency, slower timings, and the second xmp profile has slower frequency, tighter timings. Just keep in mind it's not all about the frequency.  The second xmp profile may actually be faster all things considered, even though the frequency is slower.  I haven't done the math though.

The fan speeds are 27% and 12%, whether in the case of 64G RAM or 8G RAM.

Meant to say rma'ed, not RAM'ed!

Changing the RAM shouldn't have incidental and negligible impact on fan speed (i.e., only to the extent having more sticks increases heat buildup).

Are you getting a high pitch whiny sound?  I'd just rma it, especially since it's amazon.  So easy and fast to get a replacement.  My first set from them was a dud too, RAM'ed and was up an running several days later.

I will try to make a replacement with Amazon and post updates later.
